Apprenticeships have different qualification levels, starting at foundation level 2 and going up to level 7. Usually, you’ll need:

These are the different apprenticeship levels, what qualifications they’re similar to, and who they’re suitable for.
Remember that you can apply for any apprenticeship you meet the requirements for. It’s also OK to begin at level 2 you’re new to an industry.

If you don’t have any work experience, a foundation apprenticeship or level 2 apprenticeship might be right for you. You’ll get training and support during your apprenticeship to help develop the skills you need. You’ll also get support to help you in the working world.
Thinking about skills you’ve developed will help you when you’re applying. For example, hobbies show skills and willingness to learn, sports show teamwork and working with your hands, gaming shows problem solving.
