Apprenticeships are open to everyone, and the Apprenticeship Diversity Champions Network (ADCN) is an employer-led network where members come together because they recognise the benefits of growing a more diverse workforce, both for their organisation and their employees – including their apprentices.
Who We Are: ADCN is committed to diversity and inclusion in apprenticeships. We actively discuss and support various groups, including:
- people with disabilities and learning difficulties
- members of minority communities
- young people who have been in care
- women in underrepresented sectors
Championing diversity for business growth: businesses benefit by employing people from diverse backgrounds. The ADCN encourages employers to use apprenticeships as a tool to empower individuals and communities. Our network actively engages in discussions and provides support to ensure a more inclusive workforce.
Leadership and recognition: chaired by Lia Nici MP (open in new tab) and supported by the Department for Education (DfE), we collaborate and strive to ensure that the best individuals are at the forefront, steering ADCN forward. The network proudly recognises its members for their commitment to diversity. Members share their experiences and promote good practices.
Explore best practices: discover best practices within the network by exploring our annual report. Gain insights from real-world case studies and success stories that showcase the positive impact of how offering apprenticeships can promote diversity and inclusion in your workplace.
