We are looking to recruit an apprentice on a 3-year program to support the finishing area of our large production department. You will work to your own initiative as part of a large and busy team. Working to customer specifications, you will develop full understanding of standard finishing practices and be supported throughout your development.

You will become adept at supporting all production processes, whilst developing your own technical skillset. You will assist with technical support and production queries, identify and implement process improvements, and assist with standard operating procedures. In addition, you will develop skills in technical writing, drawing, and presenting.

Working alongside qualified technicians who will be dealing with all aspects of the maintenance and repair of heavy vehicles. Inspecting and repairing a range of heavy vehicles (HVs) and trailers for dealerships, independent garages and franchise and large fleet operators. Level 3 Apprenticeship.

You will be completing tasks such as oil changes/services/tyre fitting, washing & final prep of cars before handover.. You will also be learning how to perform diagnostic investigations with various different pieces of diagnostic equipment and fault finding. You will study towards your Level 3 Motor Vehicle Apprenticeship Qualification.

This apprenticeship is the Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician standard programme with Royal Mail at their depot in Manchester, M4 5AA. The right candidate will work alongside Royal Mail’s qualified Technicians to receive extensive training in maintaining Heavy vehicles.

This apprenticeship is the Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service & Maintenance Technician (Light) standard programme with Royal Mail at their depot in Manchester, M4 5AA. The right candidate will work alongside Royal Mail’s qualified Technicians to receive extensive training in maintaining Light vehicles.

As an apprentice with us you will support the day-to-day running of the company ensuring that machinery is working, and production isn’t affected. You will be trained to undertake installation, testing, servicing, removal, replacement, maintenance and repair of a range of equipment as part of planned preventative and reactive maintenance programmes.

Apprentices will learn the key manufacturing process involved in assessing, planning and setting bespoke, 1 off parts using manual and CNC horizontal and vertical boring machines.

Learning all aspects of the paper making process to become a fully competent manufacturing operative at the end of the 3-year apprenticeship.
