What support can I access?
The Apprenticeship Support and Knowledge for Schools and Colleges (ASK) programme provides free digital or in-person support to educational establishments (this includes schools, colleges and training providers) to better inform students about their career options and transform the way they think about apprenticeships.
The programme is funded by the Department for Education.
Types of support
The support that ASK provides will depend on the size, requirements and focus of the school or colleges. All support is delivered in-person or virtually, depending on the needs of the school/college.
Examples of support include:
- an inspiring awareness assembly
- an apprenticeship application workshop
- careers fair attendance
- free resources
- a teacher CPD session
How it works
We connect your educational establishments, with a delivery partner organisation (funded by the Education Skills Funding Agency) in your area.
The delivery partner will work directly with your educational establishment to assess your requirements and deliver your bespoke support package.
How to access support
You can request support by completing our online form or emailing ask.programme@education.gov.uk
One of our experts will be in touch within 5 working days to discuss your requirements in more detail.
The resource hub
You can access a range of inspiring resources which have been created for young people, employers and individuals involved in influencing a young person’s career decisions (e.g. teachers, career adviser and parents) through the resource hub. Examples include student activity packs, guides, webinar slides, subject snapshots and more.
